About me
Many of my characteristics and experiences include: travel, compassion, curiosity, amateur meteorologist (chasing severe thunderstorms with the University of Oklahoma Radar Tornado Intercept Team), retired industrial electrician, physically fit and active, nature photographer, gardening, a teaching spirit, advanced thermographer (thermal imaging), problem solving, cycling (riding my trike). Al Rudisill

Dr. Alvin Rudisill became the first Dean of the College of Engineering & Technology at Eastern Michigan University. He was hired by EMU in 1980 to start the College. In the ten years he served as Dean, enrollment rose to 2,500 students. 18 new undergraduate and graduate programs were added, including a doctoral level program. The Technology Services Center was initiated which provides non-credit training for business and industry throughout the United States.
After his retirement from EMU in 1990, Al started a business called Association Management Resources that managed fifteen state and national non-profit associations including: the Association for Technology, Management and Applied Engineering, (ATMAE). ATMAE provides accreditation for bachelors, masters and doctorial level programs. Al served as the ATMAE Executive Director for 20 years.
Al also served as the President of the Ypsilanti Historical Society for 18 years. The YHS Board renamed the YHS Archives to the Rudisill, Fletcher, White Archives.
Al is a long-time member of the Ypsilanti Rotary Club, has served the Club as President, and is currently serving as the President of the Ypsilanti Rotary Club Foundation.
